Estate Law, also commonly referred to as "Elder Law", involves issues regarding your estate in the event of your passing, planning for issues relating to your health treatment in the event of physical or mental incapacitation, ensuring your children or family are taken care of, and the proper execution and administration of your will during the probate process.
In short, Estate Law covers issues regarding assets, medical treatment, and distribution of assets both while you are alive and in the event of your passing.
Estate Law and Estate Planning are not just for those who are rich or well off financially. Every person should at a minimum have a last will and testament and a living will advance healthcare directive.
